PRESIDENT

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT - Scott
E. Briggs
The Center for Financial Training (CFT) Atlantic & Central
States became an affiliate of the Connecticut Bankers Association
early in 1996, in light of the changing make-up of the banking industry
here in Connecticut.
CFT
of Southern New England provides banking specific educational programs
to bankers throughout Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
Their educational programs consist of CFT developed credit courses,
CFT non-credit seminars, PC training, and customized in-house training.
For
almost 100 years, CFT students have enjoyed the finest banker education
available in the world. Over 6,000 bankers enroll in CFT of Southern
New England educational programs each year, and an average of 200
students receive CFT Diplomas and Certificates annually.
CFT
Diplomas are awarded in the following fields: Bank Operations, Commercial
Lending, Consumer Credit, General Banking, and Mortgage Lending.
CFT Certificates are available in Customer Service Skills, Microcomputer
Skills, Securities Services Skills, and Supervisory Skills. CFT
Diplomas and Certificates are awarded to students each year at the
Annual Graduation and Awards Banquets held throughout the State
and southern New England.
As
an affiliate of the CBA, CFTACS brings to the Association additional
resources that will allow us to carry out our educational goals,
which include offering training programs for all levels of bankers.

PRESIDENT
& CEO - Stephen
P. Amarante
Infinex
Financial Group (Infinex), Member: NASD and SIPC,
was formed by the Connecticut Bankers Association to assist banks
as they become a major channel for the distribution of investment
services. Infinex's unique "bank-owned" structure combines
experience and knowledge to create an environment that achieves
success.
The
focus of Infinex is to provide the expertise needed for financial
institutions to develop new channels of profitability while deepening
customer relationships. The unique nature of the relationship between
Infinex and its partners allows them to provide this expertise as
a complement to the bank's culture and objectives.
Infinex
supports a full range of investment and insurance products that
allows the bank to fulfill customer needs in mutual funds, annuities,
stocks, bonds, life and long-term care insurance. In addition to
the basic service of providing market access for the bank, Infinex
provides the key service of advising on the appropriate steps needed
to set up and maintain a successful non-deposit products program.
While all final decisions on the style and structure of the individual
bank program remain with the institution, it is Infinex's belief
that the difference between success and failure is in the small
details. Infinex can provide the real world experience to take any
institution from start-up to success.
The
success of a bank's non-deposit products sales program builds from
the hiring process. Infinex's recruiting program has been designed
to provide subscribers qualified investment professionals. Each
bank determines the proper interpersonal fit within its organization.
At the end of this process, a mutual employee who has the motivation
and ability to help build a profitable Infinex program will be hired.
Subscriber
success depends upon the commitment of all involved. Infinex is
dedicated to providing the strategic planning components that are
the building blocks of each program. Subscribers commit to key program
structure decisions, as part of the business planning process. Working
together, Infinex and each bank set out to achieve these mutually
agreed upon objectives.
