A number of surveys are compiled and distributed by the Association and sent to member banks during the year.  The majority of surveys are conducted annually to provide members with accurate and up to date information.  Other surveys are performed semiannually or on an as needed basis.

The biennial Banking Benefits and Human Resources Policies Survey has become an important tool in the process of analyzing current trends in employee benefits.  This survey provides a wealth of information pertaining to the employee benefits offered at member banks.

The annual Banking Compensation Survey is one of the most anticipated surveys compiled by the CBA in conjunction with Pearl Meyer & Partners. The survey consists of 164 officer and non-officer banking positions, information on financial & trust services, short-term Incentive/Bonus Plans, Sales/Referral Incentives, Long-term Incentive Plans, SERPs, ESOPs, Financial/Operational Data, Outside Mortgage Originator Compensation, Mortgage Origination/Sales Manager Compensation, Commercial Loan Officer, Tellers and the Five Highest Paid Officers.

Results are analyzed by asset size and distributed to participating member bank CEOs only.

The annual Community Involvement By Community Banks Survey gathers the generous giving on behalf of Connecticut banks to the communities they serve. This information also assists the CBA with our media relations and legislative advocacy efforts. The complimentary results are distributed to participating member bank CEOs only.

The semiannual Holiday Survey provides bank opening and closing information for State holidays.  The results are distributed to participating banks.

The annual Workforce Analysis Survey provides valuable information on staffing levels for Connecticut financial institutions.  The survey lists the full-time equivalence for management and staff positions for over thirty departments/functions.  This unique survey has received high praise in the past and is not available from any other source.
