Loan Servicing Assistant

Description:
The Loan Servicing Assistant will provide high quality customer
service to customers, investors, and bank personnel for all loan
products offered by Windsor Federal Savings. The Loan Servicing
Assistant will furnish information, answer questions, and perform
specialized servicing tasks including monitoring delinquent loans
and taking appropriate action to correct delinquency.
Primary
Repossibility:
Responds to customer, bank staff and investor inquiries
or concerns regarding the servicing of an account and provides a
quality response. Researches problems and makes adjustments as required.
Monitors loan reports to identify and correct potential problems.
Processes daily investor payments to the proper investor custodial
accounts. Monitors the delinquency reports and takes appropriate
steps to protect the bank's assets. Contacts and discussses delinquent
status with all parties responsible for the debt by phone and'/or
written correspondence. Reports delinquency information to investors
and management; monitors charged-off loans. Remits payments and
reports to all loan investors; Reconcilement activities as required.
Position Qualifications:
High School Diploma or its equivalent with 3-5 years mortgage
loan servicing experience with a minimum of 2 years experience in
the collection of delinquent loans or some comparable combination
of education and experience.
Solid
understanding of Bank on-line loan servicing systems.
Working knowledge of Secondary Market and Government guaranteed
loan collection requirements, Private Mortgage Insurance company
collection requirements, loan products, bank loan regulations, bank
loan operating policies and procedures.
Proficient operation of a personal computer, teller terminal, Microsoft
Software such as Word, Excel, Outlook.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills, strong customer
service orientation.
Able to maintain relationships that facilitate task accomplishment,
to cooperate and resolve conflicts, to recognize needs and be sensitive
to others, to convince and persuade.
Able to receive guidance and supervision and follow work rules and
procedures, meet deadlines, punctuality and attendance standards.
Able to work independently as well as in a team based environment.
Able to lear quickly with a strong attention to detail and problem
solving.
